Biography

-

I am a marine and freshwater ecologist focused on the attributes that make species ecologically important, dominant, invasive, or vulnerable. I lead my students through undergraduate level research projects centered on the aquatic organisms of their choosing. Our recent projects examine competition in bigclaw crayfish and in purple sea urchins. My previous work examines two invasive mussels in the Saint Lawrence River, and I am currently exploring the literature on polychaete worms.
