Biography
Dr. Abdullah Alawadhi (PhD) is an assistant professor in the College of Business Administration (CBA) at Kuwait University. He received his PhD from Rutgers University in 2015. Abdullah obtained his bachelor degree, majoring in Accounting, from Kuwait University in 2008. In 2011, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Business School, and obtained his Master of Science degree in Accounting. Abdullah is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Abdullah's research interests include Accounting Information Systems, Forensic Accounting, Audit Analytics, Data visualization, and Big Data. Abdullah presented in several conferences, including the 28th World Continuous Auditing and Reporting Symposium (28WCARS) and the American Accounting Association (AAA) 2014 Mid-Atlantic Region Meeting. In addition, he has several working papers on the area of Big Data, Audit Analytics and Data Visualization.
For 4 years he worked at the Continuous Auditing and Reporting Laboratory (CARLAB) at Rutgers University, conducting many research oriented projects. He also consulted for several global firms in the area of fraud detection and internal audit.
