Abdullah Bin Osman

Dr. Abdullah Bin Osman joined Abu Dhabi University in 2017. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from University Utara Malaysia (UUM). Before entering academia, Dr. Bin Osman served as a military officer in the Malaysian Armed Forces for 33 years. He participated in military training locally and overseas, including an international mission with the United Nations in Western Sahara, Libya, and Bosnia Herzegovina. While in the military, he was seconded to the Open University Malaysia as a manager and lecturer. Before joining Abu Dhabi University, he worked as a faculty member at University Malaysia Perlis and Sultan Abdul Halim International Islamic University.

Research

His research interests include human resource management, health and safety, organizational behavior, general management, and environmental issues. He has published nine academic textbooks and has served as an external examiner for master's and doctorate programs for both local and foreign universities. As for 2021/2022, together with research partner from public university in Malaysia funded by ADU of two internal grants focused on ‘Innovative Behavior of UAE Public Sector’ and ‘Student Retention in UAE Private Universities’.
