Adam Louis Shrier has been an international business developer and a management consultant for more than 20 years. He has started-up and acquired firms in the energy, environment and chemical industries, and has arranged for international investments and technology transfers. As a strategic advisor, he has helped private and state-controlled companies to formulate and implement long-term investment strategies and to streamline their organizational structure and business processes; and he has consulted to government agencies on planning, policy development and economic reform programs.
Shrier focuses on strategic planning; developing and commercializing new technologies; corporate venturing; managing collaborative arrangements involving companies, agencies and NGOs; and preparing individuals and institutions for competitive market economies. His projects have involved clients and investments in the Middle East, Africa, East Asia, Central Europe and the former Soviet Union, and Latin America.
Earlier, Shrier spent 25 years with Exxon (now ExxonMobil) Corporation, in various commercial, technical and corporate assignments. In his final assignment he was responsible for international strategic planning and government relations. He also has been Visiting Scholar at Cambridge University, Visiting Professor of International Business at Xiamen University (China) and at Beijing Foreign Studies University, Adjunct Professor of International Business at American University, and Co-Leader of a CLE course on International Joint Ventures at CWC School for Energy.
Shrier earned degrees in chemical engineering from Columbia University, M.I.T. and Yale University, and a law degree from Fordham University. He has served as Senior Advisor to professional and consulting organizations, including MIT Enterprise Forum, Global Business Forum, Cambridge Energy Research Associates, Business Executives for National Security, International Executive Service Corps and Citizen’s Development Corps. He is listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in the World and American Men and Women in Science
