Research Summary
I study divergences of perspective between people and groups, focusing on misunderstanding, distrust, and perspective-taking. Key questions include: How are divergences of perspective related to identity, self-reflection and language? How do we routinely overcome divergences of perspective? And how do people avoid taking each other''s perspective? How do they dismiss and ignore each other?
