Terry College of Business
Alex Reed is an Associate Professor of Legal Studies and Director of the Legal Studies Certificate Program. His research focuses on employment discrimination, tax policy, and securities regulation. Reed's scholarship has been published in a number of leading law journals, including the American Business Law Journal, Harvard Journal on Legislation, University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law, and the Berkeley Journal of Employment & Labor Law, among others.
Professor Reed is a recipient of the Distinguished Early Career Faculty Award, the highest honor bestowed on early career faculty by the Academy of Legal Studies in Business. He is also a recipient of the Richard B. Russell Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, the University of Georgia's highest early career teaching honor.
In 2021, Reed was elected to his international academic association's five-person executive committee, with his service continuing through 2026.
