Alex Welch

Alex is an artist, mystic, healer and master builder. She launched her first venture in sustainable agriculture at the age of 19 and has since worked with a variety of different startups and founders to help build and nurture communities both offline & online. Her passions include sustainability, entrepreneurship, technology, nature and design.

Alex has spent the past four years working in the ag/food tech space. She joined her first urban farming startup Impackt Farm in 2016 while studying at IE University in Madrid. Impackt farm was created to provide refugees & underserved communities with affordable vertical farms and a marketplace for their surplus produce. From there, Alex went on to participate and present at numerous competitions and accelerators including Thought for Food Summit, Hult Prize, Fast Forward and Hult Founders Lab.

Alex completed her bachelors degree in Business Administration & Marketing at Hult International Business School. While studying, she began working for multiple tech startups in the UK and Europe. From there, Alex spent her time travelling the world, investigating and gaining experience from critical players working to shape the future. She is also a certified permaculture designer (Punta Mona), 200hr yoga teacher (Kula Collective) and Reiki level 1+2 practitioner.

She believes that the spirit of entrepreneurship is not exclusively for founders. Entrepreneurship to her means taking control over one's journey by feeling empowered to be involved and steer our own lives. Her mission in life is to help nurture the growth of individuals from within so that their inner world can reflect positively on the outer world they are influencing through their work and creative expression.
