Biography

Management School ESSCA

Alexander Alexiev undertook his doctoral research at the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands and subsequently worked for the two Amsterdam universities: the Vrije Universiteit and University of Amsterdam.

In his research, Prof. Alexander Alexiev studies the strategies that can change the course of established organizations towards more innovation and entrepreneurship. This is a large and complex issue, but at the same time one critical to our understanding of whether adaptation can be intentional and successfully steered by management.

In the past, he has investigated the advice-seeking behaviors of top managers, the link between management innovation and service innovation, and the capabilities needed to innovate in experiential and service contexts.
