Alexander Auf Der Heyde
Executive Coach (Adjunct Faculty Member) at Hult Ashridge Executive Education
Biography
Hult Ashridge Executive Education
I strongly believe that the most important task of a senior leader is to create a platform for people to grow. As such, I have always enjoyed working with people and supporting them on their individual development. It is my passion for people development, which made me change from a corporate leadership career into Executive Coaching.
As an Executive Coach I enjoy working with leaders on their individual development. Topics of my work include leadership development, transition coaching for leaders assuming new roles, cross-cultural leadership and executive sparring. In an intensive learning process, I will encourage my coachee to leave comfort zones and support her/him in identifying and trying alternative approaches to push boundaries. I have coached people with very different cultural and educational backgrounds, spanning individuals from Europe, North and South America, Asia and Middle East/ Africa.
My approach to Executive Coaching is highly individualised to the objectives of my coaching client. Typically, in a series of 6-8 confidential sessions we will explore a coachee’s specific situation, feelings and challenges with the intention to understand and learn from them.
Accredited as an Executive Coach at Ashridge (Hult International Business School), I can enrich my Executive Coaching sessions with my own experience as a corporate leader. Within the Bayer Group as a Business Unit Head and earlier as a Partner with Accenture Management Consulting, I held senior management positions with international accountability up to Executive Committee level. During my professional career I lived in Germany, India and China, respectively. International projects and leadership roles made me regularly travel to more than 40 countries on 5 continents.
I hold a Masters in Executive Coaching from Hult International Business School in Ashridge/ UK, an MBA from the European School of Business in Reutlingen/ Germany and a Masters in Biology from the University of Tübingen/ Germany.
Coaching mostly in English and German, I also speak Spanish and French.
