Background
Matros earned his M.Sc. in Mathematics from Moscow State University (Russia) in 1992 and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Moscow State University (Russia) in 1998. He also earned an M.A. in Economics from New Economic School, Moscow (Russia) in 1997 and a Ph.D. in Economics from Stockholm School of Economics (Sweden) in 2001.
He was a research fellow at University College London from 2001 to 2003 and an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at University of Pittsburgh from 2003 to 2010.
Matros joined the Department of Economics in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina in 2010.
His recent publications include articles in Journal of Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, and RAND Journal of Economics. He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in microeconomics.
Research
His research interests include evolutionary and experimental game theory, contests, and industrial organization.
