Alexandria Marzano-Lesnevich

Alexandria Marzano-Lesnevich, Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy, is a 2014 National Endowment for the Arts Fellow in Creative Writing. Her essays appear or are forthcoming in The New York Times, Oxford American, Fourth Genre, Iowa Review, the anthology True Crime, and many other magazines and journals. She is finishing a book of combined memoir and literary journalism about a Louisiana murder and death penalty case. In support of her work on this book, she has received a Rona Jaffe Award and fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, Blue Mountain Center, and other organizations. Before coming to HKS, she was the sole creative writing faculty member at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. Currently she lives in Boston and teaches the Memoir Incubator program at Grub Street, a nonprofit program of writers teaching writers. Marzano-Lesnevich holds an MFA in creative writing and a JD from Harvard Law School.
