International institute of management in technology
Alfred Mettler's principal academic interests are in global banking and finance, the risk management of financial institutions, the global financial architecture, and financial education. Before joining the University of Miami he has held academic positions at the University of Zurich (Switzerland), New York University (NYU), the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), and Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA). He has extensive teaching experience at graduate and undergraduate levels, and has received numerous awards and recognitions. Furthermore Mettler has leading roles in various executive education programs in Europe and the U.S., and he has been instrumental in the design of courses, the development of programs, and the integration of business school curricula.
Mettler has consulted for companies, organizations, and governments. In a broader context, he frequently comments on financial, economic, political, and societal developments in the U.S., Switzerland, and Europe. He regularly gives public speeches and presentations, and he is a frequent contributor to the media (Print, Radio, TV).

Debt/equity financing of corporations; risk management of financial institutions; fintech; comparative analysis of global economic, societal, political and legal developments
