GIBS Business School
Alison is an Associate Director at The Gordon Institute of Business Science with the portfolio of Personal and Applied Learning.
Her Academic background is in Sports Psychology (Hons), Business Management and Coaching (Masters & Professional).
Her professional background and training is as a facilitator and coach and she has a particular interest in the power of group coaching for impact in business.
Since 2007, Alison has worked the majority of her time at GIBS, starting the initiatives in Personal Development at the school.
The centre now looks after 100 faculty who are experts in learning and business coaching and personal development. It’s responsible for Best Practice and Research in Personal Learning.
Personal and Applied Learning also delivers:
- Coaching Fieldwork Services,
- Customised specialist coaching and mentoring programmes,
- Professionally accredited training programmes for coaches (ICF approved), and
- Manages Programme Design and Faculty Deployment for the School for Personal Learning concentrations across programmes (academic, public and corporate)
Alison speaks at conferences, has written a book chapter on group coaching, and has published research in local and international journals.
Her particular coaching interests are in narrative, gestalt, neuroscience and group coaching.
Her teaching style is facilitative and she loves using graphic, narrative, systemic techniques in facilitative learning.
Alison is PCC registered with the ICF and a Board member of the International GSAEC (Graduate School Alliance of Education for Coaches)
