Alison Taylor

Alison began her entrepreneurial journey by opening a multi-disciplinary healthcare clinic called Canopy in 2011. Running and owning a small business taught her the foundations of business along with a deep empathy for the life of a small business owner. In 2014, she and co-founder Trevor Johnston, launched a new business called Jane, a software application built originally for Canopy that offers online booking and electronic charting capabilities. It is now being used by more than 50,000 practitioners around the world to run their clinics. Alison continues to lead this tech company as co-CEO with a team of 180 staff.

First of all - we're hiring at Jane! We're looking for exceptional customer support and all levels of engineers/coders/developers (or whatever title you use to describe yourself). We're also always looking for anyone in any position that feels like they'd like to join us on our journey.

Current focus: Growth! Jane's growing rapidly across Canada, the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand in all disciplines and we're always looking for people to join our team. Jane's growth is fuelled primarily through organic word of mouth referrals, and we are growing out of our own revenue. We have a fast paced work environment as we hire to keep up with growth - we are on track to scale the team to 250 people by the end of 2021.

We are product/customer led as a company - so we are really looking to build a team of people who are mission minded and product obsessed.

I know I've talked more about Jane here than myself, so a bit about me. I would describe myself as a learner, problem solver and puzzle seeker, often dissatisfied with the current options and seeking something better. I have three kids - aged 13, 12 and 9 although that's always changing ;) - and one french bulldog. I am in love with the West Coast - the mountains and the ocean. I believe in the integration of work into life and life into work.

One of my favourite things about working at Jane is that the road never ends with opportunities, change, and growth (both personally and professionally) around every corner.
