Amit Kumar

Amit Kumar is the CIO of Param Hansa Values LLC. Amit has spent 14+ years in the US equities as Analyst and Portfolio Manager, most recently at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he co-managed over $2.5b in US focused assets for over 6 years. American Extended Alpha fund was featured in Telegraph as the top 4 US focused European funds that beat the markets consistently for 5 years. American Extended Alpha Fund also won the best absolute fund award by EuroHedge for 3 year returns.

Mr. Kumar has specialized research interest in companies across the technology, biotech/ life sciences, and financial sectors.

Previously, Amit spent seven years with Artham Capital and Swiss Re Asset Management, where he worked as a research analyst. Prior to that, he spent nine years in the technology industry IBM, TCS and a number of tech start-up firms.

Amit holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BSc in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Amit is a published author whose work includes Short Selling: Find Uncommon Short Ideas. He is also a visiting lecturer on Value Investing at London Business School. Amit is a regular guest on CNBC Squawk Box.
