Amit Shrivastava

Dr. Amit Shrivastava is a Professor in the Accounting & Finance area of the Jaipuria Institute of Management Indore, which is one of the best Management Colleges in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He had over a two-decade-long stint in academia before he joined the institute.

Before joining the Jaipuria Institute of Management, he was associated with the Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management as Associate Professor (Accounting & Finance) for nine and a half years. Apart from teaching in postgraduate programs (PGP) and management development programs (MDPs), he also handled major responsibilities such as PGP Chair, MDP Chair, Area Chair- Accounting & Finance, Founder & Head- Centre of Finance & Risk Management, Core member of organizing committee -International Conference, and Member of the Academic Council.

He has also worked with the NMIMS School of Business Management, NMIMS University, Mumbai, as Assistant Professor (Finance area), and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) as an Academic Associate/Research Associate (Accounting & Finance). He started his career in teaching in the year 2000 with the Institute of Management Studies.

Dr. Shrivastava has also been associated with IIM Indore, Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar, FLAME Pune, ICFAI Business School, Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad Management Association as visiting faculty.

He has delivered more than 170 sessions as a sole instructor in several Management Development Programs (MDPs). All MDPs were delivered to the Senior (CEO, GM, VP, Business Heads level) and middle-level executives of organizations like IOCL, NOVARTIS India, HOWE India, ADANI-Enterprises Ltd, ADANI- Ports & SEZ Ltd, ADANI-Power Ltd, ADANI-Wilmar, ADANI-Total Gas Ltd, ADANI-Realty, Adani Green Energy Ltd, TCS, Venture Infotek, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd., Innovation & Research Foundation, and so on. HE has also moderated CEO /MD level webinars for Motilal Oswal Wealth Management Ltd, and Lumos Alternate Investment Advisors Private Limited.

He follows case-based teaching pedagogy to deliver the courses/modules in postgraduate programs and MDPs. His core teaching area is managerial accounting, and he has done many successful experiments and teaching innovations to make understand accounting to non-accounting background participants. He teaches courses like; Managerial Accounting, Financial Reporting & Analysis, Management Control Systems, Working Capital Management, and Entrepreneurial Finance & Venture Capital.

His current area of research is Managerial Accounting and Venture Capital. He has published articles in ABDC category journals. Dr. Shrivastava is also giving his services as an Advisor to the Board of Trustees and Founder Trustee of some B schools. In addition, he is also a member of the editorial advisory and review board to the Malaysian Accounting Review, IMA Educational Case Journal, and Global Journal of Accounting & Finance.
