Amy Cathey is Executive Director of Business Development for the Graduate and Executive Education Programs in the Haslam College of Business. In addition, as a senior lecturer, she teaches marketing in the Executive MBA Program for Strategic Leadership, the Executive MBA Program for Healthcare Leadership, and the Physician Executive MBA program.
 
She has previously served in a number of administrative roles in graduate and executive education, including Executive Director of the Full-time MBA Program, Director of the Executive MBA program, Interim Executive Director for Executive Education Programs, and Interim Executive Director for Graduate Business Programs.  In addition, she has taught undergraduate courses, full-time MBA courses, executive MBA courses, and in non-degree executive education programs.  She received her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Tennessee.
 
Amy’s research and teaching interests focus on helping companies understand what their customers’ value, integrating customer value information with business processes, and finding new ways of creating active dialogue between company and customer.  She has worked on a consulting basis with organizations in industries such as consumer packaged goods, consumer durables, logistics, manufacturing, financial services, technology, healthcare, business services, non-profit foundations, and higher education.  Amy is an active community volunteer. She and her husband, Robert, have three teenage daughters.
