Amy Zimerman is a former investment banker whose finance career and philanthropy inspired her to transition into the nonprofit sector. Previously an auditor specializing in nonprofit organizations, she’s now the executive director of Financial Beginnings Washington.

Zimerman has served as executive director of Camp Erin, finance and operations manager at Sightline Institute, and grants and contract manager at Thrive by Five Washington. She’s consulted with nonprofits and funders over the years and was an adjunct professor of financial management in the Master of Nonprofit Leadership program at Seattle University. She also served on the board for the Women’s Funding Alliance. Currently, Zimerman is the vice president of the Cedarmere Foundation's board of trustees and serves on the finance, audit and investment committee of the Washington Women's Foundation. She is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Master of Business Administration, Master of Philosophy and a Master of Nonprofit Leadership.
