Biography

Ana Lozano-Vivas is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Malaga (Spain) and member of the board of the Banco Europeo de Finanzas.

Professor Lozano-Vivas’s research interests are in the areas of financial institutions and applied microeconomics. Professor Lozano-Vivas has more than 50 publications including 3 books and edited volumes and more than 150 peer-reviewed articles in banking, economics, and finance and management journals. Reviewer of research projects in international and national institutions such as the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research, King Fagd University of Petroleum and Minerals Research Projects, The Luxembourg National Research Fund, National Evaluation Agency, BBVA. Caixa among others and has presented her research at more than 300 professional meetings and institutions worldwide, receiving research awards such as Ernst & Young and Italian Banking and Finance Association prizes.

Professor Lozano-Vivas has been consultant, advisor or a visiting scholar for international organizations as such as the European Commission, the OECD, the International Monetary Fund, the Central Bank of Luxembourg, New York University, Florida State University; Federal Reserve of Atlanta among others. She is associate editor of the International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance, Corporate Governance and Sustainability review and Frontiers in Finance and editor of special issues of others journals.

Professor Lozano-Vivas has been a member of the group of experts on new financial instruments in the European Commission and has held management positions at the University of Malaga as Deputy Director of Private Degrees and Vice-President of Academic Planning.
