Biography

Andrea Calimera received the M.S. degree (summa cum laude) in Electronic Engineering in 2007 and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy, in 2010. He is currently an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering in the Department of Control and Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Torino.

His main research interests focus on design automation of digital circuits, with particular emphasis on methods and CAD tools for low-power and variation-aware design, including process variation-, thermal-, and aging-aware design. He is currently involved in several industry-oriented projects co-funded by the European Commission, including cooperation with STMicroelectronics, Infineon, Philips-NXP, Synopsys. Andrea Calimera is also active in the area of emerging technologies and post-CMOS circuits based on Graphene devices.
