Andreea Nica

Andreea Nica, Ph.D., teaches various online sociology courses and advises undergraduates in the department. Dr. Nica has published in Mental Health, Religion & Culture, Journal of Religion and Health, and International Journal of Qualitative Methods. Her current, funded research project, Reconceptualization of Emotional Capital and Intimacy in a Sociological Context: The Authentic Revolution, examines how emotion subcultures practice emotional intimacy skills related to well-being. Dr. Nica has presented at a number of conferences and research symposiums, and has also promoted her research via media outlets. She currently serves on the WNMU committees: Online Teaching and Learning, Instructional Resources, and Remote Work Policy. Dr. Nica is also affiliated with a number of sociological associations.
