Andrew Lee

Аndrew has been with Hill Dickinson since 2001 and has worked for the firm in London and the UAE, as well as Singapore. Before joining the firm Andrew worked as an underwriting assistant in London. Prior to that, he spent a year in China, teaching English and is a keen sailor.

Andrew's practice spans all areas of wet and dry shipping. On the wet side, he has particular experience in relation to groundings and salvage, as well as collisions and fires. On the dry side, charterparty matters form the bulk of his practice. He has particular interest and experience in relation to offshore contracts and disputes and is also involved in marine insurance matters. Andrew also has a strong commodities practice advising and assisting trading houses on contract wordings and disputes. Andrew seeks to settle cases on appropriate terms whenever possible. However, he has substantial (successful) experience in arbitration and court proceedings where settlement has not been achieved.

Andrew completed his law degree in 1998 at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Thereafter he studied for his LPC at the College of Law in Chester.
