Background

Professor Van Buskirk studies the role of financial reporting in resolving capital market uncertainty. He has published articles in the Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review, and the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.  He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Accounting Research, and The Accounting Review.  Prior to joining Ohio State, he taught Financial Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Before receiving his PhD, he worked as a CPA in Arthur Andersen’s Philadelphia office.
