Dr Andy Tan is Senior Scientist and Group Leader of Immune Cell Manufacturing at Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI), Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore (A STAR) and lead investigator of a joint laboratory with a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) to establish a bioprocessing platform to enable large scale production of genetically engineered T and NK cells for tumor immunotherapy. As Consultant Analytical Scientist with Health Sciences Authority, Dr Tan directs the development of nucleic acid- and immune-based analytics for characterization of biotherapeutics and prophylactics.

He is also co-Director of the Centre of Innovation for Sustainable Banking and Production of Cultivated Meats (CRISP Meats), a multi-disciplinary research programme which aims to develop innovative technologies for manufacturing of cultivated meat.
