Biography
Harvard Medical School
Ankit Patel joined the Bonventre lab in 2018 after completing his first year of nephrology fellowship. He has a long-standing interest in epithelial transport which he seeks to couple with the lab’s expertise in regenerative medicine and bioengineering. He is currently focused on generating collecting duct principal cells using transcription factor directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells and functional characterization of these generated cells. Additionally, he has worked on projects related to proximal tubule secretion and cisplatin induced nephrotoxicity.
