Short Biography

Anna Ressi obtained her doctoral degree in 2018 from the Karl-Franzens University Graz in the field of organization and institutional economics. She then moved to WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, where she initially worked as a postdoc at the chair of Organization Theory. Since November 2020, she has been Assistant Professor of Economics, Management and Organization.

Research Interests

In her research, Anna Ressi focuses on industrial, institutional, and organizational economics, drawing on insights from behavioral economics. Methodologically, her research includes microeconomic model theory as well as laboratory and field experiments. In her current work, Anna Ressi deals with the following exemplary questions: How does relative performance information influence the group selection of employees and consequently their effort? Are certain individual character traits indicative of the frequency and extent of misreporting in moral decision-making situations? To what extent does the level of consumers’ information influence the efficiency of markets for credence goods?
