Anne Liu
Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School
Biography
Harvard Medical School
I am very interested in gastroenterology, hepatology and global health. As an undergraduate at UCLA, I helped organize a mobile clinic called APA Health CARE that provides hepatitis B, blood pressure, glucose/cholesterol, and BMI screenings, as well as referrals and health education to immigrants in API enclaves throughout LA and Orange County. My experiences with APA Health CARE inspired me to focus on hepatitis B as a globally neglected epidemic, including work as a medical student at Stanford with the Asian Liver Center, Pacific Free Clinic and Arbor Free Clinic, leading the National APAMSA Hepatitis B Conferences as well as performing clinical research with hepatitis B and bone marrow transplant patients. Now I have completed my internal medicine residency at Yale, am board certified in internal medicine, completed two years working as a hospitalist, and currently am finishing my last year of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
