Nyenrode Business University

Anne-Marie Kruis is Associate Professor of Management Accounting and Control. She has a background in economics and obtained her PhD-degree in business administration from Nyenrode Business Universiteit in 2008. That same year she successfully completed the International Faculty Development Program at IESE business school in Barcelona.
   

Anne-Marie works on several (international) research projects cooperating with colleagues from Australia, Europe and the United States. She spent three months at ESADE Business School in Barcelona as a visiting professor in 2012. Since January 2015 she has been a member of the council of the Management Control Association (UK).
     

As main themes she studies design and effectiveness of Management Control Systems, the Levers of Control framework, and the roles/use of Performance Measurement Systems. She also teaches courses on these themes as well as courses on quantitative methods (at the Master, Post Master, and PhD level). Anne-Marie has an interest in the survey methodology and developed a method for the pre-testing of survey instruments called Validity-Feedback Interviews.
