Biography
Management School ESSCA
An economist, Anne Musson defended her thesis in December 2012. This study, conducted under the direction of Jacques Le Cacheux and co-supervised by Francis Ribeyre, Professor of Human Ecology, questions the link between the attractiveness of a territory and its level of sustainability.
She wrote several research articles on this subject, as well as a book, and she also contributed to a Report for the Ministry of Equality of Territories and Housing.
But her research themes are broader, encompassing the issue of wealth indicators, social capital and the role of trust in the economy.
In recent years, her scientific research has focused on the issue of cooperatives, their resilience, their role on the territory and in the ecological transition.
Her blog, which was hosted by Terra Eco, presents scientific news on the issue of sustainable development indicators.
Anne regularly speaks to the general public, through conferences (for example, in 2017, at the invitation of the Conseil Général du Puy-de-Dôme, Nature-et Progrès, Université de Pau, or Emmaüs) and through media (La Tribune, L’Âge de Faire, Causette).
She also has social responsibilities related to her research, as she is a member of the Scientific Council of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Natural Park, the Scientific Council of the Brittany Region and the Association des Economistes Atterrés.
As part of her teaching activity, Anne Musson is responsible for the Cultural Seminars programme, for first-year ESSCA students. This programme introduces students to the methodologies of higher education, through three courses: argumentation techniques, seminnars about EU countries in a globalzed world (in English) and cultural workshops.
She also teaches microeconomics and Corporate Social Responsability.
