Anthea Andy Chan

Adjunct Professor at NYU College of Global Public Health

Biography

I have many names: Anthea, Andy, Annie, sometimes even Avery. I feel that my various names reflect the fluidity and multifaceted-ness of my character. I am genderfluid and use they/them pronouns. I love J.R.R. Tolkien, sexology, makeup, psychology, sociology, and painting. I’m trying to learn more about kink, statistics, programming, and many more.

I love reading and writing about sex, sex research, sex education, kinks, fetishes, etc. I am an active research assistant on a sex positive research team identityLORE at Teachers College, Columbia University and will soon starting a project on kink and consent. I have also worked at several other research teams in New York University and will be publishing soon. I am the Treasurer and Social Media head for Conversio Virium, a kink education group at Columbia University.
