Academic Division: EntrepreneurshipAsheen serves as the global head of Sustainable Innovation Lab at Dassault Systèmes (3DS), the $3B software company that provides businesses and people with virtual universes to imagine sustainable innovations, where he is responsible for leading and executing the vision and strategy for sustainability apps and solutions. Before creating the Sustainable Innovation Lab, Asheen served as the Sustainability Product Manager for 3DS’ SolidWorks brand. Prior to joining Dassault Systèmes in 2010, Asheen ran his own consultancy to help companies develop sustainable innovation toolkits using practices such as biomimicry (nature-inspired design), environmental life cycle assessment (LCA), and green marketing, building on his years of technological innovation experience in the biotech, aerospace, and software industries. Asheen teaches sustainable business courses as an Adjunct at Babson College, where his innovative curricula have received press in BusinessWeek and The Economist. Asheen holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Babson, and is certified in bio-inspired design from the Biomimicry Institute. Asheen enjoys learning languages (he’s working on his fourth), running, networking with fellow sustainability professionals, and chasing after his kids.
