Aurelia Perkins

My research interests include transnationalism and identitity; religion; migrant/diasporic populations in North America and the United Kingdom, especially issues relating to family/household formations and health. I especially enjoy teaching students from various ethnic backgrounds because I learn from them as well.

For many years I was an advisor to a United Nations Non Governmental Organization (NGO) during their sessions with the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
