Bas Kodden

Bas Kodden is Coordinator of the Center for Leadership & Management Development and Director of the Executive MBA program at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. His main research includes topics of leadership, entrepreneurship and personal development.

Bas was born on July 15th, 1970 in Raalte, Salland and studied both Law (1995) as Business Administration (2007) at the University of Groningen. He received his PhD from Nyenrode Business Universiteit in 2011. 

Before becoming part of Nyenrode’s Center for Leadership and Management Development, Bas had been an entrepreneur for almost his entire professional career. At the age of 27, Bas’ spirit called on him to leave his job as a managing legal worker and to start up his first organization, a recruitment firm which developed into a group of specialized agencies with several offices and many employees. 
   
Being the managing director for 12,5 years he left the company in 2010 to conduct further academic research on leadership and personal development at Nyenrode Business Universiteit and to train and mentor aspiring professionals to become future leaders.

He is the author of several bestseller books.
