Frankfurt School of Finance & Management
Benjamin Born is an Associate Professor of Macroeconomics at the Department of Economics at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since August 2018. He is also affiliated with CEPR and CESifo and serves as a Research Professor at the ifo Institute in Munich.
Before joining the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management Benjamin held faculty positions at the Universities of Bonn and Mannheim and spent time as a postdoctoral researcher at the ifo Institute in Munich. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Bonn Graduate School of Economics.
His research focuses mainly on macroeconomics and applied econometrics, with a focus on fiscal and monetary policy, uncertainty, and business cycles, and has been published in journals such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Monetary Economics, and the Economic Journal. He teaches in the field of Macroeconomics.
