Beth Jelly is an experienced buying manager with expertise in womenswear. In her previous roles she directed buying strategies, range planning and development through to product delivery. She worked at Oasis for 15 years, starting as a senior buyer and then buying manager for knitwear for 4 years. She has gained a high degree of technical knowledge in knitwear, jersey-wear and swimwear and developed keen market awareness during her 25 years in the retail industry. Beth also launched the first George clothing range for Asda, having previously worked for George Davies at Next, and worked with him as a founding partner of the George Davies Partnership. As part of this she developed the first men’s knitwear and jersey-wear range for the Next Directory launch.

  • 2009 – Present: Senior Lecturer on the Fashion Business Management degree at The University of Westminster. I deliver content both face to face, and online.
  • 2010 – 2014: Knitwear Consultant for Long Tall Sally.
  • 2010 – Present: Training Courses for the fashion industry.
  • 2005 – 2009: Oasis, Buying Manager over all knitted product departments.
  • 1995 – 2009: Oasis, Senior Buyer, Indian wovens, jersey, knitwear and swimwear.
  • 1989 – 1995: Founding member of The George Davis Partnership, Buyer for women’s knitwear and jersey wear, on George at Asda.
  • 1985 – 1989: Next plc, Junior Buyer, menswear knitwear and jersey wear, retail and directory, including the launch of the Next Directory. Womenswear knitwear and jersey wear, retail and directory.
