Biography

Beth Ryan’s passion for education and commitment to the development of human behavior is a common theme in her portfolio career. She brings over 25 years of experience in management and consulting positions in a variety of business, nonprofit and education institutions. Her core focus has been in leadership and communication coaching, career management, and recruitment. She has been active in community and professional organizations in youth mentoring using a variety of adult learning and motivation techniques to help people succeed.

Beth has been with Columbia in Business & Entrepreneurship since 2005, initially as a part-time faculty member and then transitioning to a full-time Lecturer role in 2012. Her most recent prior experience includes serving in a consulting capacity with the following organizations:

University of Chicago Booth School of Business, coaching MBA students and alumni in leadership development and career advancement Right Management, a global leader in outplacement services, coaching executive leaders through career advancement and transition Kittleman & Associates, a leading non-profit executive search firm, recruiting leadership and management talent and developing internal staff for growth Beth earned a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Development & Administration from Barry University in Miami, Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Management from The University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.
