Darden School of Business
Bill Carter is an Executive Partner at Hidden Harbor. In this role, Mr. Carter works hand in hand with the investment team and is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and operating niche market leading businesses in the business services and industrial sectors. Bill has over twenty-seven years of experience in growth strategy, transformations, performance improvement, post-merger integrations, and leadership development across a variety of industrial, distribution, automotive and retail industries.
Bill has served as the Chief Administrative Officer at Victra (a private equity-backed independent Verizon Wireless retailer), held various senior roles at Advance Auto Parts, and spent twelve years in the Atlanta office of Bain & Company, Inc, where he served as a partner.
Bill started his career serving as a surface warfare officer in the United States Navy on the newly commissioned USS LABOON (DDG 58). After his naval service, Bill earned an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia where he received the William Michael Shermet Award and was Samuel Forrest Hyde Fellowship recipient. Bill is a 1993 graduate of Duke University where he received a BA in Economics.
