Bill Fleming

Biography

Bill F. Fleming is Director, MBA Employer Relations for the Texas MBA Programs at the McCombs School of Business. He leads a team responsible for all aspects of external relations for recruiting and career management with the goal of increasing career opportunities for internship and full-time employment of MBA students. This includes leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive MBA recruiting strategy across programs and continuing to build the Texas MBA brand with employers through developing new and extending existing recruiter relationships. Previously, Bill was the Director of MBA Career Management for Executive and Working Professional MBA Programs with the McCombs School of Business. In this capacity, he led a team that provided career guidance, advising, and job search assistance to students in the Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin Evening, and Austin Executive MBA programs. Additionally, he proactively worked with prospective employers to generate interest and awareness of students from these programs and to facilitate hiring, networking, and career development of the students. Bill’s previous business experience includes having served as Regional Director of Human Resources and Recruitment for a “Big 4” Public Accounting and Management Consulting Firm; Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Board Member for a mid-size, Dallas-based company; Vice President of Human Resources for a rapidly growing Austin-based company; and Independent Executive Recruiter focusing on the Management Consulting, Public Accounting, and Financial Services Industries. Bill has a BBA with a double major in Management and Marketing from The University of Texas at Arlington. He is currently on the Corporate Advisory Board of the National Association of Hispanic MBAs and previously was a Student Government President, Past President of the UTA Alumni Association, and a UTA Distinguished Alumnus, Information Systems and Management Science. Additionally, Bill has previously served as Chairman of the Board of the Arlington YMCA, Board of Directors of Leadership Arlington, President of Accent Arlington, and Treasurer of the Arlington Fine Arts Council. He and his wife Kitty have been married for 35 years. Their daughter is an Account Executive with a national advertising firm, son is a CPA with Ernst &Young, and dog, Sweet Pea, is most likely asleep on her job of guarding the homestead.
