Bill Hennessy

Bill is an experienced Lecturer, Organisation Development Consultant and Chartered Occupational Psychologist. He is a Visiting Fellow at Cranfield School of Management and a Fellow, Centre for Management Development at London Business School and Visiting Professor at the Centre for Executive Education Indian School of Business, Hyderabad as well as working with his own clients in ODA Ltd.

Prior to independent practice Bill was Director, Custom Programmes, Cranfield School of Management responsible for In-Company tailored programmes for a wide range of clients. In a 40 year career he has moved between industry, business and academia developing a deep appreciation of approaches to management and organisation development. Bill brings an intensely practical approach to executive development, grounded in solid experience, sound theory and focused on outcomes.

Previous posts have included Head of Mgt Training/OD Consulting, BBC, Director Mgt and Orgn Devt, The Whitbread Beer Company and a Director of Ernst and Young's UK HR/OD consulting practice. He has worked with a wide variety of clients from the public and private sector.

Projects have included organisation design, senior management development programmes on Leadership and Change Management, development centres, supporting major change and individual coaching.

Recent clients include ExxonMobil, PEMEX, BT Retail, SABIC, KPC and IMI plc for whom Bill was for 3 years Director of the global IMI Academy to introduce Key Account Management. Currently Bill is working a great deal in the Middle East with SABIC, KPC, ADCO and with India with Deloitte's, Times of India and EY.

He has been Senior Lecturer in HR/OD at Hull and Leicester Business Schools, holds a first degree in Business and Psychology, an MA in Industrial Relations, MSc in Organisational Psychology He has undertaken significant development programmes at The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, University of Columbia, The Institute of Group Analysis
