Dr Bonnie Cheuk is a strategic, hands-on, business & results-driven executive with strong digital transformation, digital workplace, web/digital channel management, information & knowledge management, collaboration, social media and Enterprise 2.0 expertise. Originally from Hong Kong, she has 20+ years of experience working in HK, Singapore, USA, UK and Europe.

In 2018, she joined AstraZeneca as a senior director, a member of a multi-disciplinary digital transformation leadership team to reimagine the end-to-end drug development process, with a focus on implementation knowledge and collaboration technologies, leading culture change and change management for the R&D unit.

In 2020, she has taken on a global role to redefine learning, build learning agility global capability and promote a culture of lifelong learning to enable the company to grow through innovation. She is actively contributing to improve digital literacy across the 70,000 workforce.

Prior to her current role, she has successful introduced a range of innovative technologies with human touch, ranging from social collaboration, knowledge management, digital marketing and communication innovation programmes in the financial services (Citigroup, Euroclear), professional services (ERM, Arthur Andersen), technology (IBM) and the government sector (Scottish Government, British Council).

Her expertise lies in blending her deep understanding of user-centric design thinking, information/knowledge management, change management, communication/facilitation principles and practices with her knowledge of the latest technologies to deliver business solutions and drive change. She is passionate about knowledge sharing and learning in the flow of work, how human and machines collaborate in the future of work, and improving digital / information literacy in the workplace.

Bonnie’s doctorate research, informed by Dervin’s Sense-Making Methodology, focussed on understanding how human make sense of the world, uncovering human needs, information seeking and use behaviour in the workplace context. Bonnie publishes papers, gives lectures at universities and speaks regularly at international conferences.

On the academic side, she is a founding member of the Sense-Making Methodology Institute, a non-profit website sharing research articles informed by Dervin’s Sense-Making Methodology to understand users’ needs in order to design “communicative” and user-centric solutions. http://www.sense-making.org

Bonnie is the author of “Social Strategies in Action: Driving Business Transformation” published by Ark Group in 2013.
