Bree Josefy

Bree Josefy joins the Kelley faculty from Texas A&M University, where she recently completed her Ph.D. in Accounting. Her dissertation examined director stock ownership requirements and their eff ect on board monitoring.

While completing her B.B.A. in Accounting and M.S. in Management Information Systems at Texas A&M, she interned with PwC. After graduation, she started her professional career with Deloitte in London. While in London, she performed tax compliance and consulting services for companies with in-bound and out-bound U.S. investments. She later joined the Corporate Finance practice, where she completed fi nancial modeling projects across Europe and Asia in the fi nancial, healthcare, hospitality, and energy sectors. After fi ve years with Deloitte London, Josefy transferred to Deloitte Hong Kong to become a manager in the Valuation Services practice. She has experience with major business integrations as well as cash fl ow models for new business development.

Josefy’s husband, Matthew, also joins the faculty at IU’s Kelley School of Business as an assistant professor in the management department. They have a six-year-old son, Jonathan, and a three-year-old daughter, Madalyn. Big basketball fans, they are all eager to move to Bloomington and become part of the Hoosier family.
