Biography
Brian Goldberg, PhD, PsyD earned his first doctorate in Political Science and his second doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Goldberg has extensive college counseling experience. Since 2005 Dr. Goldberg has been a faculty member at the American Jewish University where his duties included serving on the Faculty Senate, Student Advisement and Admission committees in addition to his teaching duties and responsibilities. Dr. Goldberg also helped to create the internship/externship program for the Department of Political Science and was tasked with developing a lower and upper division Service Learning Courses at the University.
Dr. Goldberg served for three years as the Co-Chair for the Department of Political Science, in that role he was responsible for developing and approving new courses, reviewing graduation requirements and working on WASC accreditation for the University. Dr. Goldberg was also a Visiting Assistant Professor at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Dr. Goldberg also served for eight years on the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education, serving twice as President of the Board. Dr. Goldberg was instrumental in the District adopting the CSU/UC A-G graduation requirements for all High School Students at Beverly Hills High School. Dr. Goldberg proposed and passed hiring the first full time Dean of College Admission to assist students with their admission process. Dr. Goldberg’s academic interest deal with Leadership Studies and how to use psychological factors to determine effective leadership traits.
