Education
Brian Russo, PhD, earned a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a master’s degree in Biotechnology from Boston University in 2008. He earned a doctoral degree in Molecular Virology and Microbiology under the mentorship of Dr. Gerard Nau at the University of Pittsburgh in 2013. He completed his postdoctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School with Dr. Marcia Goldberg.
Dr. Russo joined the faculty of the Department of Immunology and Microbiology and the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2020.
Awards
Dr. Russo received a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, a Tosteson Award from the Executive Committee on Research at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Charles A. King Trust Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Medical Foundation, and a Career Transition Award from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
