International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans

Mr. McNeill is a Senior Vice President in Segal’s Toronto office. He has over 30 years of experience in employee benefits consulting in Canada and the United Kingdom and was previously Segal’s Canadian Business Leader. Mr. McNeill leads strategic planning initiatives for retirement services and products and provides consulting services to multi-employer and corporate pension plans. His expertise includes plan design, funding, asset-liability studies, administration, documentation, communications and governance initiatives.

Mr. McNeill joined Segal in 2013 as the Canadian Retirement Practice Leader. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McNeill was the Retirement Leader for Global Consulting at Buck Consultants, where he was responsible for creating and managing a global retirement team and implementing a global strategy. Before that, Mr. McNeill was the Chief Executive Officer for Buck Consultants’ Canadian office.

Mr. McNeill graduated with Honours from Glasgow University with a BSc in Mathematics. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the U.K. and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Mr. McNeill sat on the Toronto Board of Trade’s Economic Development Committee from 2009 to 2011. He is currently a member of the FSCO’s MEPP Advisory Committee.

Mr. McNeill has written several articles featured in trade publications and had made presentations to ACPM, CIA and IF audiences.
