Dr. Carin Holmquist holds the Family Stefan Persson Chair in Entrepreneurship and Business Creation at the Stockholm School of Economics. She has conducted research in a wide range of topics. Her thesis focused on interorganisational issues, and how to manage economic and political goals in the same setting. Since then, she has become an expert in internationalisation of SMEs, organising of - and for - entrepreneurship, and women's entrepreneurship, a field that she has been interested in for decades. Besides working with research and education, Carin has always worked in close cooperation with companies and organisations outside academia. She launched, and was the first chairwoman of, SSE Business Lab (an incubator at Stockholm School of Economics), and she is heavily involved in organisations championing women as entrepreneurs. Carin is also a member of a number of privately owned and listed companies.
