CBS Executive

PhD in Medical Management (Leadership, Organization and Innovation) where I applied change management and complexity thinking to develop and test a facilitation process to improve medical education. Experienced course and educational development facilitator well versed in various group facilitation techniques. My goal is to combine my background in research and medicine to continually improve the way we care for our patients and our staff by developing better approaches to leadership, care management, design, planning, and learning.

Research description

Currently co-lead the Clinical Management research group together with Pamela Mazzocato. On-going projects include studies on process improvement, lean, value-based health care (VBHC) and clinical operations management spanning applications from emergency to chronic care, the integration of patient expectations into care processes, team training (crew resource manage ment) to improve patient safety, process management to improve leadership development, and innovation in the design of health care business models. I am currently supervising four doctoral students.

Education

As a lecturer, course designer, and course leader, I have led and been involved in courses in leadership, management, education, informat­ics, improvement science, project management, and patient safety for the Nurs­ing, Radiol­ogy Nursing, Medical Informatics, Public Health, and Medical programs as well as at several Stock­holm area hospitals. I have also conducted faculty training workshops on teaching, e-learning, Web 2.0, group dynamics, com­munica­tion, research management, learning outcomes and course development.

I have also facilitated improvement projects and helped design courses on improvement science for programs at the Karolinska Institutet as well as at the Danderyd University Hospital, universities in Linköping, Lund, Jönkö ping and the Swedish national residency program in psychiatry.

Sigbrit Franke Stipendium, Längmanska kulturfonden. 50 000 SEK for contributions to Swedish Higher Education.
