Biography

Dr Caroline Dingle is a Senior Lecturer and Director of the Conservation Forensics Lab in the Division of Ecology and Biodiversity at HKU. She is an evolutionary ecologist interested in understanding the processes that create and maintain biodiversity, both in tropical forests and urban ecosystems. Her current research focuses on urban ecology and wildlife trade.

Dr Dingle is also the head of the HKU Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) organization dedicated to increasing gender diversity in STEM. They aim to inspire underrepresented groups to study and build careers in these fields and to build a supportive and diverse community of scientists at HKU and beyond.
