Biography
-
I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science at IMT Atlantique and I am also part of the INUIT group of the Lab-STICC. My research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, Computer-Supported Cooperative Work, Telepresence and 3D Interaction.
Previoulsy, I was an Associate Professor at Université Paris-Saclay (2013-2021), where I was part of the HCC (Human-Centered Computing) group of LRI and the ex)situ project-team of Inria Saclay. Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill (USA) working with Pr. Henry Fuchs. I was also a visiting researcher at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore in the context of the BeingThere Centre.
I completed a PhD in computer science under the supervision of Pr. Bruno Arnaldi, Pr. Thierry Duval and Dr. Valérie Gouranton in the VR4i group at the IRISA - Inria lab. During my PhD, I spent 3 months at the University College of London (UCL) in the VECG group under the supervision of Pr. Anthony Steed. Before that, I obtained both an engineering degree in computer science and a Master of Research degree in image processing and artificial intelligence from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA de Rennes) in 2008. During my studies, I also competed in sailing at an international level in the 49er Olympic class.
Research
My research interests are in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction, Computer-Supported Cooperative Work, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. I am interested in the collaboration and interaction of multiple users in large interactive spaces such as wall-sized displays, immersive virtual reality systems and augmented reality setups. I worked on various projects on video-conferencing, telepresence, collaborative virtual environments and 3D interaction.
