Biography

Dr Kiho (Dan) Cho is an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW)-Sydney and is working as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong from 2021. He received a PhD degree in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in 2020 from the UNSW-Sydney, MS in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 from the University of Colorado-Boulder, and BS in Mechanical Design Engineering in 2001 from the Chungnam National University. From 2004 to 2016, he had worked in a variety of aspect of mechanical technology engineering and materials science as a research engineer and a group leader in the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials, LG Electronics Mobile Communications (S. Korea and US), and Cowell Optic Electronics (China).

His current research activities cover a range of topics in the synthesis of multi-functionalised dental materials and characterization, development of new surface treatments on the various micro-/nano-fillers, and molecular dynamics study to design the optimised dental biomaterials so as to improve their mechanical, physical, and biological performances.
