Biography

Chris Hitch is COO of a management education firm who helps leaders and teams accelerate success. He helps leaders and teams apply strategy, innovation, and leadership tools through his workshops, seminars, and small group coaching. After serving in six general management roles (including several C-suite roles) in multiple million-dollar industries in over 30 years, Chris knows that leaders at all levels need rigorous and relevant leadership tools they can immediately implement.

Chris has led strategy, innovation, and leadership workshops for over 7,000 aspiring, emerging, and operational leaders and for over 2,000 senior and C-suite leaders. His clients come the federal and state government, engineering, healthcare, IT, professional service firms, education, and non-profit sectors throughout the United States and abroad.

Chris also teaches MBA students at NC State’s Poole College of Management, at St. Andrews University, and Wake Forest University, where he teaches research based, practical frameworks in strategy, innovation, and leadership. Dr. Hitch is also a certified facilitator from Interaction Associates.

Previously, Chris served as Director of Custom Programs for UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and as Director of the General H. Hugh Shelton Leadership Center at NC State University.

A former basketball official, school principal, and Eagle Scout, Chris earned his Ph.D. from UNC Chapel Hill in 1990 and graduated with a B.A. (1981) and M.A. (1982) from Austin College. He attended the Army War College’s National Security Seminar in 2017.
